Ferguson Roofing worked with the Gateway Science Academy on a construction project. We assisted with bid creation and discounting work in an effort to support their mission of raising the trajectory of student’s lives.
What does the Gateway Science Academy do?
The Gateway Science Academy is a St. Louis public charter school that fosters growth and development opportunities for students with their nationally recognized science, technology, engineering and math (S.T.E.M.) programs. Gateway prepares their students to enter a competitive global workforce by instilling the values of curiosity and inquiry along with the skills of problem solving and leadership.
The halls of the Academy echo with the excitement of a diverse student body engaged in learning. Students’ of a multitude of nationalities, ethnicities, and economic backgrounds develop confidence by learning through developing projects and solving problems together.
Knowledgeable and skilled teachers take a personalized approach and adapt curriculum to work within a multicultural learning framework. They hold high standards of performance based assessments and build long lasting relationships. Gateway utilizes democratic decision making and collaborative planning and professional development to provide an inclusive, integrated, learning environment that seeks to constantly improve.
Concept Schools, is a not-for-profit charter management organization that manages the Gateway Science Academy. Concept is known for creating high quality learning environments, quickly and efficiently and managing high quality charter schools like Gateway.
Why did we choose to support Gateway Science Academy?
The Ferguson Community nominated Gateway Science Academy because of high expectations for their students and faculty as well as their contagious spirit of teamwork shared between the students, parents, bus drivers, teachers and administrators. Gateway’s enthusiasm for learning expands the potential of their student’s futures and enriches the lives of St. Louis families and our community.
