Habitat for Humanity

What did we do to help?

We participated in a fundraising bowling event through one of our distributors. We joined in team play and contributed to the fundraiser event in which all proceeds went to the local Habitat for Humanity St. Louis.

What does Habitat for Humanity do?

Habitat for Humanity (HfH) provides much more than just houses. HfH is a well-known organization, yet there are some who haven’t yet learned what Habitat for Humanity does or how it works.

HfH builds a bridge to owning a home through hard work, education, and community contribution. The homeowner partners provide over 350 hours of work on the construction of their new home or other Habitat for Humanity houses while taking educational courses.

This training helps residents with financial and homeownership skills. Once empowered, they have the skills and opportunity to purchase a home and pay an affordable mortgage while creating more financial stability for themselves and strengthening the stability of the community around them.

They don’t just give away homes to low-income people. They offer a new path forward and a hand up. Habitat for Humanity provides homeownership opportunities to families living between 25% and 50% of the area’s median income. These are the residents most often blocked from obtaining conventional mortgage financing.

Why did we choose to support Habitat for Humanity?

The company selected to support this fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity because of our ongoing relationship with one of our distributors and Habitat’s long-running track record of providing spectacular opportunities to the underserved population while strengthening communities.

Helping people help themselves does more than fulfill a need – it empowers people and offers them a chance to improve their situation through the dignity of physical labor and the satisfaction of building greater value in the community.
