What did we do to help?

Ferguson Roofing has supported It’s Your Birthday, Inc. with a financial donation. We support their mission of providing a special day for children that have fallen between the cracks of often overlooked and underserved populations.

What does It’s Your Birthday, Inc. do?

It’s Your Birthday takes their philosophy that every child should have a happy birthday and puts it into action. They take a moment that many of us might take for granted and offer what can be one of the happiest memories in a young person’s life. It’s Your Birthday offers a variety of birthday experiences to homeless children and those living in domestic violence shelters. They include Build-a-Bear and/or gift cards to local retailers and restaurants, treats, and a variety of ways to celebrate.

It’s Your Birthday offers several different experiences for children. They will deliver a Birthday in a Box with gift cards, cake and ice cream, and all the elements volunteers would need to help support a celebration where the child resides. They also offer a complete celebration with activities, entertainment, and all the goodies on the side including cake/cupcakes, ice cream, juice, decorations, treat bags, and toys. It’s Your Birthday even has a birthday class where they will come to the child’s school and set up a celebration to be shared with friends and classmates.

When circumstances prevent a parent from providing the indispensable childhood experience of a birthday party, It’s Your Birthday is there to turn a special moment into a lasting happy memory.

Why did we choose to support It’s Your Birthday, Inc.?

Ferguson’s community elected to award It’s Your Birthday, Inc. because of their unique way of helping children. Their contribution goes beyond basic survival needs and helps kids have an essential childhood experience. The Ferguson Roofing community finds the philosophy of a happy birthday for every child, no matter what their life situation may be, as something special, powerful, and beautiful, which is more than worthy of the 80 in 80 award.
