How did we help?
Ferguson Roofing helped in two capacities. First, we contributed to the golf tournament fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House organized by another organization we partner with, Women in Roofing.
Second, we created a Volunteer Time Off (VTO) program for our employees. Participants can use up to three working days of volunteer time for public service. Ferguson Roofing donates these staff hours to the mission of increasing the public good. We encourage our employees to share their time and energy by volunteering.
We have some amazing employees and some of them have been able to use their VTO to work with local charities and nonprofits for the public good. In this case, we have employees that applied their VTO to work with National Women in Roofing (NWR). NWR, in turn, organizes events to help raise funds for the Ronald McDonald House Charity. This harmonious unity of local business, caring and involved employees, and nonprofits working together is what 80 in 80 is all about.

What do Ronald McDonald House Charities do?
Ronald McDonald Houses provide a place for sick children to be together with their families and near the care they need. They accommodate children with private sleeping rooms, bring meals, and create opportunities for families to share time together as they go through the trying times of treatment.
What is the National Women in Roofing group?
National Women in Roofing offers networking, mentoring, education, and job opportunities ranging from labor, management, and boardroom positions. They empower women through education and improve industry standards through training and leadership development. NWR supports women during all phases of work from the first entry-level job all the way through executive career professionals.
We support the roofing industry and the inclusion of all in it. That’s why Ferguson Roofing backs the efforts of the National Women in Roofing organization as an important part of the industry. We’ve seen that when women unite and work together, professionalism and quality in the roofing industry advances.
Why did we choose to support the Ronald McDonald House?
Some of the employees here at Ferguson Roofing have taken the initiative to help Women in Roofing organize events like the Ronald McDonald House fundraiser. Our employees chose Ronald McDonald House Charities because they are a remarkable organization that helps families in a desperate time of need. We chose to donate staff hours and contribute to the RHC fundraiser because it brought us the chance to help in a win-win-win for employees, the NWR, and the children and families that the RMH charities shelter.
