What did we do to help?

We helped St. Louis Feral Cat Outreach in their mission to protect and improve the lives of feral cats living in our community by sponsoring them in a trivia night fundraiser. This financial contribution will help them with TNR (trap-neuter-return program), advocating for responsible pet care, and emphasizing the importance of sterilization.

What does St. Louis Feral Cat Outreach do?

The STLFCO is working to reduce the feral cat population in St. Louis and surrounding areas through education, TNR (trap-neuter-return) and promoting pets sterilization. They also look to reduce the suffering and improve the health of cats living on the streets by providing medical assistance and other resources to create a safe, habitable environment for cats in need.

The Feral Cat Outreach is moving toward its goal by using a high volume of low-cost or free spay-neuter services. These services sterilize feral, semi-feral, stray, and domestic cats. In 2017 alone, they successfully trapped and sterilized over 1,300 community cats! In addition to sterilization, STLFCO has several other programs to help people and cats in the community including winter shelter builds, colony wellness, and educational programs about Feral Cats.

Why did we choose to award the St. Louis Feral Cat Outreach?

An employee of Ferguson Roofing chose this organization. We support our employees who look to the compassionate care of animals in need while looking to improve the health and wellness of the surrounding community at the same time. We know what it takes and how important it is to build a good roof. Helping an organization that builds shelters and reduces suffering in the animal community is definitely a cause we can get behind.
