What did we do to help?
Ferguson Roofing contributed to Urban Sprouts’ fundraising. Those contributions are used to support programs at this dedicated and nurturing child development center.
What’s happening at the Urban Sprouts Child Development Center?
Urban Sprouts seeks to empower children and support their mental, physical, creative, and civil growth. In this supportive environment, children are encouraged to cultivate a love of lifelong learning. They achieve this by providing a wide array of programs: From the Center to the Community, Infants, Toddlers, Pre-K, Mixed-Age Play, Project-Based Learning, and Partners in Learning.
Urban Sprouts works to connect the home environment with the care environment. They welcome the full participation of children, educators, and family in child-led discovery learning. Connections between students and educators happen in a place that values trust, empathy, and communication, as well as socialization, diversity, and inclusion. Learning occurs in surroundings that foster curiosity and investigation guided by the student’s unique interests.
The Urban Sprouts Child Development Center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). For more information on NAEYC standards, click here: NAEYC for Families.
Why did we choose to support Urban Sprouts?
We are committed to helping children and families in our community. Our board wanted to support Urban Sprouts’ unique methods of child development, which utilizes academic and family support while helping young students nurture their love of learning. This creative approach and child-led explorations make learning an adventure where the student becomes the explorer.
Urban Sprouts helps a diverse group of students and supports their exploration of various interests, activities, and projects. We realize that children from the center of our families and our community. By supporting young students with a lifelong pursuit of education, we help those individual students flourish and that makes our community a better place to live.
