Community Associations Institute (CAI) is an international organization that focuses on building better communities through education and inspiration. They provide professional development classes, education programs for homeowner volunteer leaders and provide a directory of providers that service community associations. They are the only organization that identifies trends and records the history of community association living. Jason Shupp, co-owner of Ferguson Roofing, is on the CAI Board and a member of the Public Relationship Committee.
In practicing their “building better communities” belief, the CAI is involved with many local charitable organizations, one of which is Angel Arms. Angel Arms focuses on keeping siblings together and on providing a safe, caring environment, especially during long term foster care. There are nine Angel Arms homes throughout the St. Louis area that can support between 4-6 children at a time. They run completely on donations from the community and receive no government funding. Angel Arms has fostered over 250 children with a 100% high school graduation rate for those children still living in their homes.
In June 2013, when one of the homes in Ballwin needed to be rehabbed, members of the CAI came together to make it happen. Everything in the house and on the property was rehabbed including the floors and landscaping. Several contractors donated their services and members of the CAI, including property managers, helped out wherever needed. Ferguson Roofing was proud to be able to help by donating the labor needed to install new siding and windows on the home.
