Sherwood Forest Camp

Sherwood Forest Camp has hosted kids from the Greater St. Louis & Illinois areas from all different races, socio-economic backgrounds and family backgrounds every summer for the past 70 years. The majority of the campers are from families living in poverty in the St. Louis and East St. Louis metropolitan areas. These school districts have a graduation rate of below 65%. Camp Sherwood gives children a safe place to learn, practice team building, form healthy, lasting relationships and exercise good decision making. 100% of children who complete the Sherwood Forest Camp program at age 15 graduate from high school!

During the summer of 2012, Ferguson Roofing donated our time to install a new roof on the Club House and many of the cabins at Sherwood Forest Camp. In 2013, encapsulating the true spirit of Sherwood Forest Camp, Ferguson Roofing was pleased to come together with other businesses in the St. Louis area to support this great program! ABC Supply Company donated the materials and Ferguson Roofing and Angle Roofing provided the labor to help improve the facilities at the camp. Pictured below is Brett Shupp, co-owner of Ferguson Roofing and Dave Angle, owner of Angle Roofing. Ferguson Roofing was also able to install new siding on one of the buildings. Our crews had the chance to stay overnight at the camp. We were able to sit around a bonfire with our guitars and have a great time!

We are grateful for the opportunity to give back to our community, especially to such a great facility that does so much for so many kids!
