What did we do to help?
We provided the National Kidney Foundation with a financial contribution to help them in their mission of enhancing and saving lives through education about kidney health.
What does The National Kidney Foundation do?
They function as a lifeline for people with kidney disease. They educate people on how to predict, prevent, and recognize threats to their kidneys’ health.
The National Kidney Foundation wants us to know that kidney disease threatens one-third of adults in the U.S. Over 37 million Americans have chronic kidney disease. To find out where you stand, visit The National Kidney Foundation website and take their quiz to assess your risk.
With one out of three Americans at risk, the National Kidney Foundation uses education and information to teach people how to access and manage their risk for contracting chronic conditions. They help teach those who are newly diagnosed what they need to know.
They work to assist the 660,000 people living with kidney failure and help them choose the right treatment. The National Kidney Foundation reaches out to patients in a group of over 100,000 people waiting for a kidney transplant. They encourage and provide information about kidney donation.
Why did we choose to support The National Kidney Foundation?
Ferguson Roofing is happy this organization was selected as an award winner. Our current president’s father (our previous second-generation owner and president) has confronted kidney health issues.
This personal connection reinforces the real-world tangible impact of the 80 in 80 project. People in need surround us, and reaching out to them through wonderful organizations like the National Kidney Foundation helps to enhance, improve, and extend our lives and those of our family’s and community members’ as well.
