Long before the days of large corporations and publically-traded companies, small family-owned establishments built the foundation for business as we know it today. Communities rely heavily on small businesses to build local economies and provide job opportunities. Ferguson Roofing has been a family owned and operated business for 75 years serving the St. Louis region. It has a long, healthy relationship with the city it calls home. The company prides itself on community involvement, treating customers like family and taking care of their staff. These values have not gone unnoticed.
Last month, Ferguson Roofing was recognized by Small Business Monthly as being a Top Family Owned Business of 2014 in the St. Louis area. Small Business Monthly (SBM) is a print and digital publication that serves the Greater St. Louis market and represents privately owned companies. The magazine covers topics such as business trends and best practices. It aims to be a resource to companies to be successful in the St. Louis marketplace.
Each year SBM recognizes awardees in a number of categories, including Top Young Entrepreneurs, Best IT Firms and Best in Reliability, to name a few. This year, Ferguson Roofing President, Jason Shupp, was presented with the Family Business Award on behalf of the company he co-owns with his brother, Brett Shupp.
Jason frequently uses SBM as a resource for growing and developing business opportunities, and building relationships with other companies in the community. The Shupp family and the Ferguson Roofing staff are honored to be among the awardees that SBM has selected as exceptional businesses in 2014.
